This Cancellation Policy explains what happens if you wish to cancel when dealing with Cartout LTD (“we”, “us”, “our”). Because we are a planning consultancy rather than a travel agent, it is important to distinguish between cancelling our consultancy service and cancelling a travel booking you have made with a supplier.
1. Cancelling our consultancy service
Our holiday-planning service is provided free of charge and carries no obligation. You can stop the process or withdraw your enquiry at any time, for any reason, at no cost. Simply let us know by email or phone and we will close your enquiry. There are no cancellation fees because there is no charge for our service.
2. Withdrawing your enquiry and your consent
If you no longer wish to be contacted, you can withdraw your consent at any time. We will stop processing your enquiry and, on request, delete your personal data in line with our Privacy Policy, unless we are legally required to keep certain records.
3. Cancelling a travel booking
Any flights, accommodation or other travel arrangements you book are contracts directly between you and the relevant supplier. We cannot cancel these bookings for you, because we are not a party to them and we do not hold your booking or payment. To cancel a travel arrangement, you must contact the supplier directly and follow their cancellation procedure.
4. Supplier cancellation terms
Each supplier sets its own cancellation rules, deadlines and charges. These can range from fully refundable to completely non-refundable, depending on the fare or rate you chose. Before you book, we recommend you read the supplier’s cancellation terms carefully so you understand any charges that may apply. We are happy to help you understand your options, but the final terms are set by the supplier.
5. If you need to change your plans
If your circumstances change before you have booked anything, there is nothing to cancel with us — just let us know and we can pause or adjust your plan. If you have already booked with suppliers, contact them as early as possible, as charges often increase closer to the travel date.
6. Travel insurance
Cancellation cover is one of the main reasons we recommend taking out travel insurance as soon as you book. Depending on your policy and the reason for cancelling, your insurer may cover some or all of any supplier cancellation charges. Any claim is a matter between you and your insurer.
7. Our right to decline or end a consultation
We reserve the right to decline or discontinue a consultation — for example, where a request is unlawful, abusive, or outside the scope of our service. Where we do so, you will not be charged.
8. Contact us
